Colors in Thanksgiving

Color on the mountain
chlorinated churning streams
cascading down the chiseled rocks
formed by man, not nature
neither the wet river be

emotions charged
voices blend
Russ raps
Ry percolates
Bri serenades
memorable night
under stars and moon

Youthful all
we gather to unify by
messages of joy
courage, dreams and love
bestowed from three life-time friends

hot autumn night
reality cold with moisture filled air
enveloped with blankets
warmed by song
unaware of the chill

Colors in Thanksgiving

blessing us with gifts from Thee.

FARMS

Not sure what got me thinking about it but did a search on F.A.R.M.S.
Came across an article by Hugh W. Nibley, what an intelligent man. I think when I study what he writes I need to pray for understanding.

His article was what about the "people" who came before Adam. I was just skimming the writing so it took a little to realize he was talking about evolution. In the brief moment I was hit by a couple of his statements.

"If unused, organs atrophy, we are losing rather than gaining brain power"

If we were to build a university (earth) we wouldn't gather the stupid, ignorant and wait for them to evolve.

Moses 1:31. I'll need to look that up to get it right, but Elder Nibley was speaking about the "human-like" creatures who have come before us.

Some scientist have a problem going from A to B in evolution. Many have come up with the end results and will fill in the holes. (go back and read so I can clarify)

When I look at a monkey or guriella I see an animal who has a place in this world. Who was created for a purpose. However I have never felt a kinship no matter how close our DNA is.

I forgot how much fun it was to read things other than novels. I thank God for people who are intelligent and yet write with the Spirit. There is not only beauty in the physical creations but also beauty in spiritual influenced writing and music.
